Brevard County, FL is home to several comic book stores and a lot of comic book talent. The love of this industry is only growing in the country and a lot of interesting things are coming out from right here on the Space Coast.  Of note, this coming Saturday, 9/12/2020 is the Indie Comic Creator Showcase at  Kingdom of Comics in Melbourne.  They will be hosting Travis Gibb, writer of the self-published books  Broke Down and Four Dead Bodies and most recently released Voodoo Nations (also created with FL  writer and artist Luke Stone); David Galiano, writer of Savage Bastards through Mad Cave Studios;  Jonathan Hedrick writer of the self-published titles Freakshow Princess, Freakshow Knight, and Capable,  as well as the Scout Comics published title, The Recount (coming 11/2020).  Also attending this event is  David Summey who writes Return to Sender.  They will be doing signings of their most recent books as  well as previous issues/titles.  Come on out to Kingdom of Comics (4320 S Babcock St #104, Melbourne,  FL 32901) from 11am – 4pm.     Kingdom of Comics is a fairly newer comic store in Brevard County (opened in January 2019) but is  definitely the place to be and check out if you are into comic books and collecting of toys, statues, etc.   Many will tell you that one of the most unique and fun things that Kingdom of Comics offers is the ability  to sit at their medieval looking bar and enjoy a cold drink such as craft beer, local Florida wine, and  non-alcoholic beverage as well.  It is not an uncommon sight at Kingdom of Comics to find local comic  writers and many local artists hanging out and having fun.  Come join the excitement this Saturday at the  Indie Comic Creator Showcase!
