(SUNTREE, FL) November 28, 2022 – It’s that time of year for holiday music of all varieties and styles! Suntree United Methodist Church will host multiple Brevard musical groups to celebrate the Christmas season, when they present a free Suntree Community Christmas Concert at 4:00 PM on Sunday, December 11. The church at 7400 N. Wickham Road in Suntree will welcome ensembles from the Brevard Symphony Orchestra and advanced string players from Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Orchestra in a program of Christmas-themed music. A holiday medley by the Glory Ringers will fill the air with the joyous sound of Christmas bells. Dr. Robert E. Lamb and Lori Taylor will serenade the audience with duets of the season, accompanied by Tom Taylor on piano. And adding to the festive air will be ballet performers from the Viera Dance Conservatory, dancing to Leroy Anderson’s famous “Sleigh Ride.” Contemporary musicians from the Suntree Worship Collective will premiere their new song, “I Believe,” for the Advent season, available in coming weeks on all major streaming services. Interspersed between the other entertainment on the 90-minute program, will be short scenes from A Christmas Refrain, an original drama written by local theater veteran, Mario Busacca and performed by several members of the Surfside Playhouse. After the concert, the audience can enjoy refreshments of hot chocolate and Christmas cookies. Donations will be accepted at the concert for ZOE Empowers, an organization providing opportunities for impoverished orphans in Africa and India. For more information about the free Suntree Community Christmas Concert, call Suntree United Methodist Church at 321-242-2585. Doors open at 3:30 PM and the public is encouraged to arrive early for best seating.

Pastor of Worship Arts and the organizer of the Suntree Community Christmas Concert at Suntree United Methodist Church, Mike Mayes, looks forward to welcoming the community for a program that embodies the Christmas spirit.

“The community around Suntree is filled with talented musicians and artists,” said Rev. Mayes. “We were inspired by their gifts to create a diverse concert to showcase the arts and honor the true spirit of Christmas.”
