On  August 15th,  more than 100 people attended the inaugural Nuevo Ritmo Dance Latin Extravaganza at Melbourne Ballroom, creating an energetic evening of Salsa, live Latin music, food, and social dancing.

The event was led by Cuban professional dancer, dance instructor, and concert pianist Dimas Caraballo, who brought together his background in both music and dance for the new Brevard County event.

The evening began with a Salsa workshop led by Caraballo, giving both experienced dancers and newcomers an opportunity to participate and learn. Guests also enjoyed live Latin music by Andy de Cuba, social dancing, a special dance demonstration by Dimas and Ryan, and food from El Super Mofongo Resbaloso, which received enthusiastic compliments from attendees.

More than 100 guests attended the first event, demonstrating strong local interest in Latin music, dancing, and community-based social events in Brevard County.

Caraballo brings a distinctive artistic background to Nuevo Ritmo Dance. In addition to his professional dance experience, he is an accomplished concert pianist, giving him a unique connection to rhythm, musicality, and movement.

Nuevo Ritmo Dance aims to make the Latin Extravaganza a monthly social, giving people throughout Brevard County a regular opportunity to enjoy Latin dancing, live music, food, and community in a welcoming environment for all ages and experience levels.

The response to the inaugural event was overwhelmingly positive, with guests praising the Salsa workshop, Andy de Cuba’s live music, the food from El Super Mofongo Resbaloso, the dance demonstration by Dimas and Ryan, the social dancing, and the overall atmosphere of the evening.
