“I have called you by name; you are mine.” Ephesians 1:4 Ever feel like those words are for the person behind you instead of a personal message meant for you? We listen to the lies of the enemy so often that we can become distracted from the message our loving Father is trying to speak to us. Instead, we listen too often to the one who is seeking whom he can devour? 1 Peter 5:8.

We all need help from time to time during the hard times. Psalm 121:1-2 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.”

We are bombarded daily with feelings; they influence us and have a way of bringing out the worst in us. But did you know at the end of life we will answer for every word we have ever spoken. Let that sink in. Revelation 20:13 “Jesus made atonement for us on the cross. He washed us white as snow.” Isaiah 1:18 and Psalm 51:7 “The spotless blood of the Lamb has paid the price.” Would you lay down your life for another? That’s a tough question.

Maybe you are reading this article and have no idea what I am talking about. That’s alright. We all started somewhere. Usually, it’s a close call or a life altering event that gives us pause to what the meaning of life is all about. When we were young someone had to tell us what we did was wrong and we learned to treat others as we wanted to be treated, most likely with respect and kindness.
