Sprint for Sight 5K Returns October 3 to Support Independence for Individuals with Vision Loss
Lace up your running shoes and make every step count at the Sprint for Sight 5K on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Gleason Park in Indian Harbour Beach. Hosted by the Brevard Association for the Advancement of the Blind (BAAB), this annual community event invites participants of all ages and abilities to run, walk, or volunteer in support of local individuals living with vision loss.
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. and welcomes competitive runners, casual walkers, families, and community supporters to come together for an inspiring morning focused on health, inclusion, and making a meaningful difference.
Registration fees are:
- Individual Registration: $35
- Youth (Ages 0–17): $30
- Low Vision Registration: $25

For more than 60 years, BAAB has provided free services that help individuals who are blind or have low vision maintain their independence and quality of life. “Every registration, sponsorship, and volunteer truly help us continue providing free services that can change someone’s life. We show them that they can still be independent despite their vision loss,” said Brelaine Stroner, Operations Manager. “Sprint for Sight is more than a race, it’s an opportunity for our community to come together in support of their neighbors who are navigating vision loss.”
The 2026 16th Annual Sprint for Sight 5K is made possible through the generous support of Running Zone, Atlantic Eye Consultants, Space Coast Runners, and VFW Post 4643, whose partnership helps advance BAAB’s mission of empowering independence through innovative, accessible services.
