From Italian dinners downtown to sushi in Palm Bay and a future lakefront getaway in Viera, here are five additions to Brevard’s dining scene.
Picking a place for dinner might soon become a little harder—in the best possible way.
New restaurants are giving Space Coast residents more choices for breakfast, weekend brunch, and a night out. Some have already welcomed their first customers, while others are preparing to open their doors.
Here’s a look at five restaurants worth knowing about in Melbourne, Palm Bay, and Viera, based on information available as of October 7, 2026.
Lynora’s: Italian Dining Coming to Downtown Melbourne
Downtown Melbourne is preparing to welcome Lynora’s at 529 E. New Haven Avenue. The Italian restaurant’s official website lists the location as coming soon, while September reporting from Florida Today puts its opening target at late October 2026. An exact opening day has not been confirmed.
Lynora’s brings a family restaurant history that began in Lake Worth in 1976. Raffaele and Maria Abbenante, immigrants from the Italian island of Ponza, started with pizza by the slice and family recipes that helped establish the business.
The Melbourne location is expected to feature Italian cuisine, wood-fired pizza, and craft cocktails. For downtown visitors, that means another option for a dinner out before exploring the surrounding shops and nightlife. The restaurant’s final opening menu and local specials remain to be confirmed.

Joy Japan Sushi & Hibachi: A New Addition Planned for Palm Bay
Palm Bay residents have a new Japanese dining option to watch at the Shoppes at Cypress Bay, near Babcock Street and St. Johns Heritage Parkway.
Joy Japan Sushi & Hibachi is planned for 9179 Babcock Street SE. According to a September 14 report from What Now Orlando, coming-soon signage and plan-review paperwork indicate that the project is moving forward. A firm opening date has not been announced.
The planned restaurant appears to be a second location for the Joy Japan business operating in St. Cloud. That restaurant offers sushi rolls, sashimi, tempura, and other Japanese dishes. Palm Bay’s opening menu has not yet been confirmed, but the existing location gives diners an idea of the concept behind the expansion.
For residents following the growth around Cypress Bay, this is another restaurant project to keep on the radar as construction and opening preparations continue.

Located at 7700 N. Wickham Road, Suite 101, the restaurant celebrated its grand opening on September 18, 2026, according to local dining coverage. Although it carries a Melbourne mailing address, the company identifies it as its Viera location.
The restaurant serves Mexican favorites including tacos, birria, fajitas, enchiladas, and margaritas. It also offers a dedicated Sunday brunch, giving residents another reason to gather around the table beyond the usual lunch or dinner outing.
Brunch is currently reported to run Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with selections including chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, brunch burritos, and a breakfast bowl. Check the restaurant’s current menu for availability and pricing before visiting.

Turning Point: A New Place for Breakfast, Brunch, and Lunch
Another recent addition is Turning Point, located at 1995 Viera Boulevard, in front of Whole Foods.
The local chamber listed a grand-opening ribbon cutting for July 28, 2026, and the restaurant’s official website now includes its Viera location. The restaurant has a Rockledge mailing address.
Turning Point focuses on breakfast, brunch, and lunch, with regional coffees and seasonal menu specials. Its broader menu includes breakfast classics, Benedict dishes, and griddle favorites such as French toast.
That daytime focus makes it an option for a morning meal with friends, a family brunch, or a lunch break while shopping in the area.

Tiki Docks: A Lakefront Restaurant Planned for Early 2027
Looking a little further ahead, Tiki Docks Bar & Grill is scheduled to join Borrows West in Viera in early 2027.
The Viera Company describes the project as a tropical restaurant and bar with a Polynesian theme, seafood, rum-based drinks, and a lakefront setting. Plans call for a 9,300-square-foot restaurant, with indoor seating and a covered patio accommodating approximately 300 customers.
The announced menu includes oysters, seafood baskets, lobster rolls, burgers, chicken wings, and Key lime pie. With its outdoor seating and waterfront atmosphere, the project is intended to become a gathering place within the growing Borrows West area.
The opening remains a future target, so residents should watch for updates as the restaurant gets closer to welcoming guests.
