New Life Mission invites the Brevard County community to Opening
Doors for Women, its signature annual fall fundraising event, on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026,
from 6-9 p.m. at the Space Coast Health Foundation Center for Collaboration in
Rockledge.
Now in its third year, Opening Doors for Women returns with a fresh venue, an all-new
event experience, and the same life-changing purpose: helping homeless women with
children rebuild their lives through New Life Mission’s long-term residential program.
About the event
Guests will enjoy an elegant evening featuring chef-crafted heavy hors d’oeuvres, live
and silent auctions, inspiring stories of transformation, and opportunities to learn how
New Life Mission is equipping women to achieve lasting self-sufficiency. Every dollar
raised will directly support programs that provide safe housing, one-on-one case
management, mental health services, financial coaching, career development,
childcare, and other resources that help families break the cycle of homelessness.
“Opening Doors for Women is an invitation for our community to stand beside women
on their journey to self-sufficiency,” said Staci Donovan, New Life Mission Director of
Development. “Behind every door we open is a woman choosing courage over fear
and hope over despair as she builds a brighter future for her children. When businesses,
churches, and individuals come together, every sponsorship, ticket, and gift becomes
part of that transformation, reminding every mother, ‘You are not alone.'”
Why it matters
Opening Doors for Women brings together local supporters who share a common goal
of creating brighter futures for women and children experiencing homelessness.
Throughout the evening, guests will hear firsthand how New Life Mission’s Christ-
centered approach equips families with the tools, accountability, and support needed
to achieve lasting independence.
The event will be presented by the Galleria of Art and Photography, owned by longtime
New Life Mission supporters Rose Marie and Ron Capasso.
“New Life Mission … [has] an incredible success rate of transforming lives, and making a
difference for future generations,” Rose Marie said. “They give women and their
children life skills necessary to become independent functioning families.”
