Audition Call for Children’s Video to Help Eliminate Bullying

Despite the past 10 years of Stop Bullying Campaigns, incidents of bullying and suicides are increasing not decreasing. Nearly 1 in 6 high school students has seriously considered suicide, and 1 in 12 have attempted it, according to the semi-annual survey on youth risk behavior published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“Since we can’t stop the bully any more than we can stop the rain,” states Marty L Ward a playwright, parent-teacher trainer, and children’s advocate, “we use groundbreaking programs that give life skills that protect kids from the impact of the bully.” Ms. Ward teaches kids tools to believe in themselves, to ignore the mean words of the bully, and to make healthy life enhancing choices, rather than commit suicide. In collaboration with Prodigy Talent Training in Rockledge Florida, Ms. Ward is holding a play audition for children ages 10 – 17 who will be featured in a promotional video for a popular training programs that uses a play called “The Flip Side”, an educational program to bully proof kids and educate school communities on how to build children’s character every day.

We are asking our community to join us in this mission to spread these tools throughout Florida and across the country. Children that are selected must be available July 29th 10 -1:00 pm (lunch provided) for the video production.
