This November 14th / “Woof It Up” AKC Dog Ownership Day at Cocoa Village Riverfront Park

The Brevard County Dog Training Club (BCDTC) is preparing for their 12th Annual AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day, also known as Woof It Up! In Cocoa Village Riverfront Park.

This November, BCDTC, dog organizations, and our local Sponsors including Tails at the Barkery, Dittmer Air & Heat, Treasure Coast Animal Rehab & Fitness, Cancer Care Centers of Brevard, and Breathe Bodywork Massage & Wellness, will host free events to educate the dog-loving public about the responsibilities and boundless pleasures of dog ownership.

Since 2006, BCDTC and pet-related organizations have held Woof It Up! to educate current and potential dog owners about the responsibilities that come along with owning a canine companion.

Each year fun activities and interesting demonstrations are presented to everyone interested in learning more about our canine friends.

This year’s event will be on November 14th, from 11 A.M. to 4 P.M. at Riverfront Park, Cocoa Village. This is a dog and family friendly event! Come out and enjoy the canine demonstrations in obedience, scent work, and from groups including the Brevard County Sherriff’s Office “Paws & Stripes”.

There will be lots to see and do for the whole family including Lure Coursing with The Brevard Humane Society, an AKC Breed Parade, Children’s Activities, and Education Room, a Book Sale, a Puppy Play Area, Photo Opportunities, Nail Trimming, Games, Prizes, Raffle Baskets, and Food and Drink Vendors. Be sure to visit the many exhibitors including Local Dog Rescue Groups, Adoptable Dogs, Therapy Dogs, Exhibitors with many interesting items for sale, and much more!
